Dear Friends,
After five years in business I am selling Nirvana Café & Grille and a new restaurant will open in its place in 2010. Our last official day in business will be Sunday, December 20th 2009. From the very beginning we intended to be much more than a restaurant. Our social mission was to empower youth and it has been a wonderful experience with great success. We created innovative youth programs like Camp CEO and Success Seminars delivered to over 10,000 students in the community. The feedback we’ve received from parents and educators inspired us to stay focused on our passion of empowering youth and this lead to the decision to sell Nirvana and redirect our resources. I’m excited to announce that we have launched the Magic Wand Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to inspiring youth to live their dreams. We will continue to run summer camps, school seminars, and the Ultimate Life Summit for Teens at Walt Disney World. This past summer we provided scholarships to over 50 teens to attend this one-week summit. We are planning to empower over 150 students at Disney World in the summer of 2010, with a goal to reach thousands more through our other youth programs. Effective immediately you may purchase the cookies online and have them shipped all over the country. I would like to personally thank everyone who has ever worked with Nirvana as an employee or a vendor – you brought our vision to life. To every customer that helped make our Grilled Cosmopolitan Sandwich and Tender Crab Soup famous – thank you! If you live near by, come on in before we close and enjoy a great meal accompanied by our mango tea and award-winning ice cream. To the hundreds of thousands we’ve served and those who have encouraged us from afar thank you for inspiring us to follow our passions.
