School's Back Soon! August's Creativity Challenge winner is 5-year-old
Madelyn McKinley. The Ester Jackson Elementary kindergartners' creation,
"Back-to-School Blues," combines tangy Lemon ice cream with fresh
Blueberries and Strawberries, topped with Graham Cracker Crumbs and fun Blue
Sprinkles-a tangy taste combination for the sweet tooth in you! So, pull up
and cool off from the hot August days with this delicious treat. Your
tastebuds will thank you!

On July 14th, Nirvana helped sponsor Clyde's Run. The 5k race, held in
Mountain Park, helps raise awareness for Prader-Willi Syndrome. Event
namesake, Clyde Mays is remembered by one of his favorite sports, running.
This year about 100 runners participated in the race.
On August 16, Nirvana will host an Empowerment Day for Clyde's Run. A portion of the sales from all who mention Clyde's Run will be donated. For more information on Clyde's Run and/or Prader-Willi Syndrome or PWS, visit www.clydesrun.org.

magazine" in their July 2007 feature "Getting to Know You." According to
writer, Michele Kent, "Scott stresses doing something you love is the most

Haley Tria, a 11-year-old student at Crabapple Middle School, is the July
winner of the Nirvana Creativity Challenge! The 6-grader's patriotic entry,
"Fantastic 4th," combines Nirvana's homemade Stellar Vanilla ice cream with
ribbons of Strawberry and Blueberry, and Red, White & Blue Sprinkles. Join
Nirvana in celebrating America's 231th year of independence!

Nirvana's Portabello in Paradise appetizer was featured as a GOTTA HAVE in
the Atlanta Journal-Constitution's Northside edition. Editor Marcus K.
Garner states, "The chef fire-roasts a fresh portobello mushroom, then
slices open the mushroom to stuff it with lump crap meat. Its served on a
bead of fresh greens and drizzled with peppercorn sauce." You gotta have it!

The June Creativity Challenge winner is 10-year old Michael Arbogast from
Sweet Apple Elementary in Roswell. His creation Summer Sunshine is Stellar
Vanilla ice cream with fudge swirls, rainbow sprinkles, mini-marshmallows &
chocolate chips.

Nirvana Cafe & Grille's CEO Scott Shickler and Chef Justin Mason were
interviewed for Atlanta's FOX News "Good Day Atlanta" morning show by Brett
Martin, "The Road Warrior," on location at the Taste of Alpharetta. During
the 6 AM shoot Martin sampled Nirvana's "Portabella in Paradise" crab cake
stuffed portabella mushroom and he devoured several of our Outrageous
Chocolate Chip Cookies along with his entire film crew.

Nirvana Cafe & Grille participated in Taste of Alpharetta 2007 and featured
our famous Cosmopolitan sandwich, Tender Crab & Sweet Corn Soup and our
Outrageous Chocolate Chip Cookie. According to the AJC, "Alpharetta's
most popular street party, the Taste of Alpharetta, gets under way Thursday
May 17 in a new location at Wills Park. The move should make room for a
larger crowd, and that's saying something. Organizers estimate 70,000 people
showed up last year. They bought 320,000 food and event tickets."

The winner of May's Creative Challenge is 5-year old Ava Autera, a
kindergarten student at Roswell Presbyterian School. Her flavor is called,
"Mother's Love" - Strawberry Bliss ice cream with mini chocolate kisses and
a fudge swirl.

The April Creativity Challenge winner is Madison Young, a 12-year old
student in the 6th grade at High Meadows School. Madison lives in Alpharetta
and is the first winner to make her own ice cream. Her flavor is Spring
Sensation, a blend of Blue Raspberry ice cream with marshmallow peeps,
sprinkles & jelly beans.

Nirvana Alpharetta is reviewed by H.M. Cauley in the "Atlanta Journal-Constitution." Ms. Cauley states, "Fans of Nirvana's salads, sandwiches, pasta and soups will find many of their favorites on the Alpharetta menu. But there's also a choice of entrees such as shrimp and grits, topped with crab and corn; crab-stuffed portobellos in a peppercorn Parmesan sauce; pistachio-crusted tilapia topped with mango chutney; and meatloaf infused with cheddar cheese and bacon then topped with a sweet barbecue sauce." Her magically delicious creation, Leprechaun's Delight, is combination of mint chocolate ice cream w/ Lucky Charms Cereal sprinkled through out and swirls of “Gold”en Caramel. Tastes richer than a pot of gold.

Nirvana Alpharetta OPENS FOR BUSINESS at 5192 McGinnis Ferry Road. The second restaurant from Scott Shickler, founder and CEO of Nirvana Café & Grille, is turning Alpharetta into paradise city. Opening in the Flynn Crossing Shopping Center, at the corner of McGinnis Ferry and Windward Pkwy,the new location will delight diners with a dose of heavenly fare seven days a week from its new menu.

Nirvana was featured in the January 2007 issue of "Restaurant Business’s" recent article titled, “50 Great Ideas” at #17. “Scott Shickler, CEO of Nirvana Café and Grille, in Roswell, Georgia, is leveraging his commitment to community outreach to generate some unique buzz. With his new ”Create Our Commercial” challenge, local middle school kids are taught by a marketing pro how to create and produce ads. “We made youth empowerment a core mission of the restaurant, so we’re talking about how to make a difference in the lives of young people everyday,” says Shickler.”
